Opera and The Missing Address Bar Drop-Down - 30/10/2011

Simply...

opera:config
user prefs
Show Dropdown Button In Addressfield
Save

In More Detail...

Opera like most browsers used to have a drop down button at the right hand side of the address bar.  This would allow quick and easy access to sites you've previously visited.  For reasons beyond my understanding Opera have removed this handy feature.  If you wish to replace it...

In the address bar type opera:config - nothing else, no www.
You should get a very long list of settings
Scroll down to User Prefs
Click on User Prefs
You should now get another awfully long list of settings
Scroll down down down and find Show Dropdown Button In Addressfield
Tick the tick box next to this
Scroll down down down again until you find Save
Click Save
Accept the Popup box
Done

Hopefully now you've got the handy drop down back.
