Remove ALL Mapped Drives

Blog Date 19 July 2021

In the command/powershell prompt

    net use * /delete

The Explanation

While trying to map a drive on a Windows 10 PC I kept on getting an error saying the drive was already mapped. Thing is I could not see any mapping in the Windows Explorer window. Something somewhere had got muddled up. I found this simple command, ran it and it asked me if I was sure I wanted to delete a list of mappings. Of course I did so "Y" it was.

This allowed me to map the drive which appeared as it ought in the explorer window.
